This was challenged by the Xian school - the encroacher of Hindu Endowment lands. Hon'ble Division Bench of Madras High Court, by a well reasoned & excellent judgment dated 04.12.2023 - ordered eviction of the encroacher - the Christian School - Hon'ble Division Bench has given time till 31.03.2024 considering the interest of students of this academic year. The @tnhrcedept which fleeces Hindu Temples in Tamil Nadu by charging 12% of temple income as Administrative fees and 4% as Audit Fees keeps the audit reports of the temples under wraps and does not publish them online even though there is a 2008 April direction to do so. Today my Writ Petition seeking publication of temple audit reports came before Hon’ble Madras High Court. The TN Govt was represented by Learned Advocate General and I argued Party-in-Person. The Govt was not willing to publish audit reports of temples. Govt condescended to publish “abstracts of audit reports”. I placed before the bench some vital data of poor audit record of the Dept including the fact that the Chief Audit Director of TN Government has revealed a shocking 1.8 Million audit objections UNRESOLVED by @tnhrcedept till date. It is to hide these deficiencies they do not want to publish the reports online. The Hon’ble Judge directed that my petition be posted before Hon’ble Special Bench hearing temple matters considering that two more cases relating temple audits were pending before that Bench I am clear as to why Govt is afraid of publishing Temple Audit Reports. One big reason is to keep the mismanaging Govt officials from getting dismissed and/ or put in prison. Another reason is keep temples under Govt control and keep devotees tied up from exercising their fundamental religious rights
