The SAVE Act, as much as I think that it is a reasonable bill, probably won’t pass the Senate. Most Democrats claim that they support Voter ID, but not the other stated provisions in the bill. Republicans would be smart to call their bluff and break the bill up into separate ones, then put each piece up for a vote individually.

I am told Thomas' (Cynical Publius) brother passed away and just saw his post that he is burying him this week. Out of genuine respect for his loss, I am going to step back from posting about this for the time being. I hope others will show a similar restraint. I would prefer not to engage with more insults and false claims during that time either. If they do not show such restraint, I will respond as needed purely to defend the reputation of War on the Rocks.
