These days my #1 tip is: use auto mode
Auto mode means no more permission prompts. It is the key building block for multi-clauding: start a session, then while it runs, work on another session in parallel.

OpenAI have secretly adjusted our limits. Last week before limit reset. I was using Xhigh all day. 5 day straight i couldn’t get my usage below 55% weekly usage. Since Yesterday, I’ve done 40% of my quota, out of nowhere. So whats going on ? @thsottiaux @sama @OpenAIDevs

We found and fixed two issues that could explain this degradation of the capability of GPT-5.5 in Codex over the last ~ 48 hours.
We are monitoring over the coming hours to fully confirm and I will reset usage limits this evening.

Codex team is aware of reports of GPT-5.5 performing worse for some users and investigating. We don't have anything conclusive yet and systems are healthy but we will share updates as we go.

@Taniyatweets_ 100%. GPT has very generous limits compared to Claude for the same amount of money (slightly lesser, in fact). Claude’s getting ✂️ after this month. Until they fix things, I’ll be riding GPT wagon.
