The central forces of @AmitShah lathi-charging Bengal’s women . Bengal women vs central forces - no prizes for guessing who will win. #JoyBangla

There was a time when the same soil that gave the world Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhas also led this nation in commerce, culture and conscience. The land of the Howrah Bridge, the Victoria Memorial and the roar of the Royal Bengal Tiger was not just a state. It was the heartbeat of India. That West Bengal is gone. Rivers that once carried the weight of West Bengal's trade now witness a different story. Tea gardens of Darjeeling that perfumed the world are struggling to survive. Jute mills that once clothed nations, Sundarbans that sheltered life, ghats of the Ganges where generations found peace, they all stand today as silent witnesses to 15 years of systematic destruction. We stand at 83% of the national average per capita income. Odisha, which once looked up to us, has left us behind. This did not happen because West Bengal lacks talent. This did not happen because the land of Maa Durga, the land of Maa Saraswati, the land that lit the torch of India's renaissance lacks the strength to rise. This happened because a government chose its own syndicate over our future, its own cut money over our child's education, its own survival over the security of our mother and sister. Our borders are bleeding. The demographic fabric of this ancient land is being torn apart silently, deliberately, while those ruling the state looked away or worse, looked the other way on purpose. The sons and daughters of the land that produced the finest minds of this civilization are today boarding trains out of West Bengal, not to explore the world, but because they have been left with no choice at home. And the cruelest part, they were made to believe this is how it has always been. That fear is normal. That syndicate raj is inevitable. That West Bengal's decline is destiny. It is not destiny. It is a crime. BJP's #BhorosharShopoth is not a political document. It is the collective cry of every mother in Murshidabad, every farmer in Jangal Mahal, every fisherman in the Sundarbans, every young student in North Bengal who refused to stop dreaming. It is a vow made on the soul of this soil that financial dignity will be restored to our women, opportunity will be rebuilt for our youth, our borders will be secured and the rule of law will return to the land of Vidyasagar and Ramakrishna Paramhansa. West Bengal did not lose its greatness. It had its greatness stolen. We are here to take it back. Bhoy Noy, Bhorosa. #PaltanoDorkarChaiBJPSorkar
