Traditionally, the 2.5% portion is associated with the share for the Pir, while 10% is the Imam's right.
In this current era, our Mawla holds both the office of Imam and Pir as one, and therefore the total becomes 12.5%.

Ismailis give 10% of their income (Dasond) to the Imam as an expression of faith, guided by Allah’s message, and honoring the family of the Prophet, from Bibi Fatima and Imam Ali to their descendants. It's not just an obligation, but a willingness of love and commitment.
