You don't need a Macbook for real development. Get yourself a @FrameworkPuter with a lower end mainboard and a decent set of headphones and spend the remaining money on coffee

Dwarkesh Patel is 100% right on this: AI's utility is very strongly dependent on continual learning.

You cannot force highly skilled people to work a set number of hours. They will just pretend to which is easy to do. They’ll read Reddit, make easy tasks stretch in time, have a longer lunch, longer meetings, etc. The only way I’ve seen or experienced seeing people work a lot of raw hours is because they believe what they are doing has mission, it challenges, users are scrambling for it, or it moves their soul somehow.

I wonder if other stores have these

My wife had to take our half-asleep vomiting 1yo daughter to the doctor multiple times and finally demand a finger stick from a skeptical pediatrician who was _SHOCKED_ to find her BG was over 600. Sign this because doctors can be idiots.

Please all sign this! ✍🏻 A 2yo has died from undiagnosed T1D again after seeing GP! 🥺 This should never need to be said, a capillary BG takes 3 seconds to do! Please all share & sign- to have routine BG testing become the reality! #gbdoc @dedocORG #LylasLaw

@Lin62866960 This is huge for small kids. My daughter is always needing corrections and they are still usually fractions of a unit

@thebaldgeek @gm8arv Agreed. At this point though the 'free' excuse is just misdirection. Linux does not aim to be nor advertise itself as hobbyist or unserious, so no one should accept a low bar

I've been 'hurt' with Linux updates in the past. Its been getting better.
I'm just personally stunned that this update clearly did not have much of a QA cycle. 200 folks use my site, if it goes down, everyone goes outside and yells at clouds, its QA is lose, but when you have 1/2 a million folks use your software that breaks their Internet when it breaks... It really should be a little better - and yes, I know its free. I got what I paid for.

Heads up.
The move from #pihole v5 to v6 is a breaking upgrade for a LOT of people - including me.
I am no longer am a PiHole user...

@gm8arv @thebaldgeek I'm old enough to remember Linus absolutely eviscerating someone on the mailing lists for breaking something in user space
English
@thebaldgeek Why does #Linux, and the software it runs, appear to ignore backwards compatibility to such a degree? It’s really off-putting!
