This was actually the metaphor that made it very clear he was intelligent. Only an educated and informed person will understand the metaphor. Tweets like this further raise deep questions about the intellectual capacity of our average student/graduate.

I quoted the wrong tweet earlier. There's climate change and there's climate change policy. The latter is what he described as a poisoned holy communion. It wasn’t gibberish; it was a metaphor. A very good one at that. Tinubu was talking about how difficult the policy can be for poor countries like Nigeria to implement immediately. Nigeria here is the poor church rat. The Holy communion is the climate change policies, which are seen as morally good or necessary. But again, it's poisonous because it can hurt poor nations like Nigeria economically especially if we are forced to adopt them without any financial support. So put simply, you can’t expect poor countries to bear the painful cost of climate policies especially when we have contributed way less to global carbon emissions. It's a solid argument. If I didn't do Literature in English in secondary school, I might also be laughing at it with you today.

@RomzyUnited These Rashford lovers are useless. You saw every stinking performance and yet wanna blame Amorim? Did Amorim give an interview saying he wanted a new challenge? Let Barca buy him. He won La liga. Let him "shine".

@Big_marvis Improve the economy and let it reflect on the citizens...you say NO. Remove subsidy and give out loans to the suffering masses. Giving out N22,500 stipend is akin to giving a poor friend tips instead of giving him a job. And we know these "trainings" are ways to steal money!

BEFORE YOU WILL SAY TINUBU WANTS TO BRIBE YOU TO VOTE FOR HIM, UNDERSTAND HIS REASONS. The federal government has invited young Nigerians to apply for a ₦22,500 monthly stipend plus free training. Yes...he knows that some of you will still collect and still not vote for him. He knows. So he's not making this decision to bribe you. Many people are angry about the reforms of the last two years. And honestly, the pain is real. Fuel subsidy removal increased transportation costs. The naira devaluation pushed up prices of food, rent, cars, school fees and almost everything else. But what many people ignore is that reforms without cushioning programs can destroy social stability completely. This is why the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been rolling out multiple intervention programs targeted at young Nigerians, students, households and small businesses. Since 2023: - States received increased FAAC allocations after subsidy removal. - Student loan programs were launched. - Consumer credit initiatives were introduced. - Cash transfer programs expanded skills acquisition and youth empowerment programs increased. - Local government allocations rose significantly after Supreme Court financial autonomy rulings. Now another program is offering ₦22,500 monthly support alongside free training. People underestimate the importance of skills during economic transitions. Countries that survived difficult reforms usually invested heavily in: - Human capital - Entrepreneurship - Vocational training - Youth employment When India liberalized its economy in the 1990s, millions initially struggled. But long-term investments in technology and skills later created one of the world’s biggest middle classes. When Indonesia removed major fuel subsidies, there was hardship too. But the government expanded social intervention programs to reduce the shock. Nigeria is trying to reform an economy that spent decades depending heavily on fuel subsidies, imports and oil revenue while neglecting productivity. That transition was never going to be painless. But the bigger question is: Can Nigeria use this painful period to build a more productive generation? The young people who survive this era may become one of the most economically adaptive generations in Nigeria’s history. This is the mind of the government in rolling out this project. It's not to get you to vote for him but to make you financially stable with monthly cash as skills. Instead of insulting the president, see the vision. While he invests heavily in infrastructure preparing for the $1 trillion economy, he's also preparing the young people to have the skills needed to survive in the economy. Get ready.

Just in: Governor Otti was walking down the road inspecting ongoing projects when an unexpected moment unfolded. Just as he passed by a church, prayers were being offered for him inside, while some members stood at the entrance shouting powerful ‘Amen!!’ Then, to everyone’s surprise, the Governor walked into the church. The joy on their faces was priceless. The atmosphere instantly became emotional, filled with excitement, smiles, and heartfelt appreciation. It was a moment that felt bigger than coincidence. The Assemblies of God members in Afule, Aba axis won’t forget this moment. When it’s your time, grace will announce you without introduction. Video by : @iam_kelex

❗️Brentford played United and City away B2B. Think the difference between the games tells a lot about the state of things. 🔺At Old Trafford, Brentford had 54% possession. Jensen and Damsgaard had 170+ passes. Jensen completed 79 of 94. At the Ethiad, Brentford had 40% possession. Jensen completed 35 of 52 passes. 🔺Watching the games — the cause for the difference on the pitch is clear as day. City lifted up their back 4, took away space from Brentford in the build-up, and Brentford could not handle it. Brentford even pushed high with 4 players at times, but City still didn’t drop back. Jensen and co are good, not elite. He was in way over his head against City. Against United, Brentford sent up 1-3 players and United dropped deep with 7 players and Brentford played through our press with such an ease. 🔺But why do Man Utd play which such a deep line? It has nothing to do with the midfield. You cannot press with a deep line. As seen in the picture below, Utd is 7 against 3 in our own half, and Brentford is consequently 7 against 3 in their half. You cannot press with 3 players against 7. It has everything to do with the lack of pace at CB. This is a problem we have had for a long long time. It does not get the attention it deserves. 🔺I really try to like the idea of Carrick getting the job. Sometimes I am excited about it. But it’s 2026. We have three games left of a season without a knife against our throat. We play Sunderland. What does Carrick do? The first name put on the the team sheet is Harry Maguire and we play an extremely deep line. This is what we need to work on. It cannot be up for debate. Why is Lenny Yoro sat on the bench? Why doesn’t we even try to improve here? When we play this deep, the best we can hope on is counter attacks because we will never be able to establish sustained pressure. 🔺Brentford and Sunderland are good. But it will — not — be any different in Europe next season. Well organized teams like Bodo-Glimt, FC Copenhagen, Sparta Prague and the likes will have a field day, just like Brentford, Sunderland and Leeds. People think we will do well in the big group stage of the CL just because we play in the PL. Most European teams can’t handle the physical nature of PL clubs. That is why Newcastle and Tottenham are top in the CL while bottom in the PL. When we play such a deep line — we get nothing of that. ⚽️My bar is extremely low, for what I would settle for with a new manager. Looking around Europe the last decade, what works is possession focused 4-2-3-1, high line and high counter press. Give me that and I would take it. Why? We simply cannot waste time building teams in the wrong direction. We have done it since Mourinho, who was past it tactically when we got him. I cannot be in favor of appointing a manager who clearly favors this ultra deep line counter attack style.

I’m sorry, but people might not see it now, but it will become clear later. He makes routine saves look world-class but barely reacts when a shot clearly requires him to stretch and make himself bigger. He’s not as good as some United fans believe.

The same set of people who led the coordinated attack on Chess in Slums’ Tunde Onakoya also came for NORD’s Tobi Ajayi. I missed the Tobi pile-on. They are now running the same play on Moniepoint’s Tosin Eniolorunda. These are not critics. Criticism ends at the point of disagreement. They are looking to criminalise enterprise. There’s probably more but it’s certainly an attack on entrepreneurs who are scaling value creation.
