And now, based on multiple reports, if Barca win the La Liga title before El Clásico, Real Madrid will not give Barcelona a guard of honour because of the so-called Negreira case,despite there being no concrete evidence whatsoever. Rivalry aside, Madrid fans, are you genuinely supporting this poor act of class and this childish behavior from your club? This is a club that constantly complains about referees whenever they loose a game, even though the league president himself has made it clear he hopes to see them win. This is the same team that, last year in the Copa del Rey, almost refused to play a final against Barcelona because Ricardo De Burgos was appointed as the referee,just setting up an excuse in case of defeat, especially since Barca were clearly the better team at that moment. Barca still went on to win that final, despite questionable officiating that even seemed to favor Madrid in that game. It’s also the same club that refused to attend the Ballon d’Or ceremony because their player didn’t win it,an award not decided by organizations like FIFA, but by voting. So what exactly was the expectation? that Vinícius should be handed the award decided by votes? It’s honestly pathetic. I’d like to believe there are Madrid fans out there who, even if they won’t admit it publicly, are not proud of how their club behaves.
