What if quality educational and scientific content would be all free, advertised and accessible to anyone, but we’d have to pay for “trash” content? 🤔

Neuralink's latest demo actually brought me to tears. You can use your brain to play Mario Kart, Call of Duty and even control a robotic arm to write. As someone with an uncle who is disabled, it's awesome to see a team truly unlocking human potential.

UI design is harder than UX design. Fight me. UX is just common sense dressed up in fancy frameworks. UI requires you to make 1000 micro-decisions that actually make or break the product. And no, your research won't save a bad interface.

Underrated UI/UX design tip: JURB = Just Use Radio Buttons Most designers don’t like radio buttons. They’ll often go for alternative patterns like toggle switches. But toggle switches suck because: 1. Users may not be able to tell if the the switch is on or off 2. Users don’t always know how to use them (some try to swipe) 3. The setting may not be saved (as they have to use AJAX) 4. They are inconsistent with interactions where there are more than two options (like radios) 5. They rely on JS to work But guess what? None of these problems apply to radio buttons. So just use radio buttons. Boring design = Good design

The more experienced I get, the more I realize that design is not about coming up with the most creative ideas, but to find creative ways to help others express their ideas.

@daltonbrewer Old habits die hard, but I use Grok more and more. Google feels like manually browsing a library, while Grok feels like having a conversation with a very smart and informed friend. Paradox as it may sound, Grok feels more human, much better experience.

@johndilworth Imagine others did this too: “vibe surgery”, “vibe prosecution”, “vibe vehicle assembly”…

Why did they start calling it “vibe coding?” Let’s not do that.

Design tip: If your grandma can use it without help, it's probably good UX. If your designer friends think it's boring, it's DEFINITELY good UX.

Dear designer, there's enough work for you too. You're not in competition with me, nor I am with you. There are 100K+ design agencies around the globe, yet we've been booked solid for a year. The design market is massive. Your success doesn't take away from mine, and mine doesn't limit yours. Focus on getting better instead of stressing about what your "competitors" are doing. There are plenty of clients out there looking for exactly what you offer.

If the Super Nintendo Switch is "just" a more powerful Switch, IMO that's a good thing Nintendo figured out the formula of a hybrid that plays AAA games on the go and your living room television No need to reinvent the wheel, a more powerful Switch means more 3rd party games

The new @figma UI is just so confusing, I feel like have to relearn the whole thing from scratch. Everything is so against the reflexes I built up the past about 8 years.

@apixelpusher Yeah honestly, when there are dozens or even hundreds of applications to review, this can slow down the process quite a bit. Not to mention my head would be spinning after a few hours of looking at animated portfolios. 😅
