Regarding Bid‘a, the masajid built during the time of Rasulullah ﷺ did not have a mihrab (محراب) or minaret (صومعة). Since building masajid is an act of worship, then wouldn’t these two features, added later be considered Bid‘a, since they were not part of the original design?

Before the fatwa factories start screeching that what these guys are doing is some evil innovation and the Salaf never did this. These men are not inventing a new act of worship. They’re literally just fixing the carpet. It’s called maintenance work.
