Absolutely gutted. Four members of a Muslim family, in Ontario, were killed last night when a 20 year old man drove his car into them. They were targeted because of their faith, according to police. They're survived by one 9-year-old child. Innalilahi wa innalilahi raji'un.

A patient I had helped manage finally succumbed to her injuries. She joins her 2 daughters, both killed when the Israeli airforce leveled their home on top of them. She leaves behind her nephew whom she raised after his parents were killed in the 2014 war. Her name is Diana.

Whenever I hear about the village of Lifta I remember a Palestinian refugee grandmother I met in Jordan with Alzheimer’s, who couldn’t always remember all her grandchildren’s name but was always reciting the names of her neighbors in Lifta by order from her house to the store
