Can you name one thing made in Norway without Googling?

The kids in this video are between 4-6 years old. Notice that many different movements emerge as a result of the game. The more they take part in activities like this, the more skilled mover they start to become. But what happens when they get older: They boxed in (literally) sitting in class all day... Recess and PE are not high on the academic totem pole... They sign up for organized sports... Structured practice takes the place of loosely organized games... Taught specific techniques... Drill drills drills... Poor practice designs with too much standing around... Lines, laps lectures... The system literally takes the athleticism out of the kids' lives... What's left is a great divide between the naturally athletic kids and the average kid and a boatload of kids who eventually quit playing sports... We need to do better... More play Less structure Better coaching youth Development over winning Long term view #LTAD
