@norramot It's classic racing! As it should be. I'd be in!

Absolutely amazing, atmospheric Chris Higginbotham photo of the Oulton Park paddock in 1985. Yes - that is a 312T sharing awning space with M8D-3. Both owned at the time by John Foulston. I believe the 312T is 024, aboard which Clay Regazzoni won the 1975 Italian Grand Prix.

@wtf1official The protection of the drivers, marshalls and other trackside workers is the most important priority. Many national and international races finish under the safety car. These measures are in place to protect everyone and honour those who have lost their lives for motorsport.

Should F1 races be allowed to finish under the Safety Car?

@DavidLawTennis Agree. Best strategy at this point. Get prepared for conquering best of 5 sets.

@FormulaScout A round away from the Grand Prix circus would be a cool idea. It would allow fans who find F1 tickets too pricey to go and attend. Like back in the 70s and 80s. After all, F2 should be able to promote itself enough to successfully host occasional rounds where it's the main event.

Formula 2 is planning to replace the races it would have run at the Russian GP with a round elsewhere that would bring the 2022 season to a record 14 events long formulascout.com/f2-working-to-…

@TrevorCarlin I think the car on the left is the F308 which won four consecutive British F3 titles? Can’t remember the chassis number and I’ve lost the Autosport article about it 😩 Most successful single F3 car in history.

@uMfuuh @RagnhildF1 I think you are right. If you win a race you deserve to be in the top 10. Let's face it during this period of time only a few drivers are winning Grand Prix.

Graham de Zille won the first race of the Ferrari Challenge @oultonpark on Friday 1st October in a Ferrari 488, entered by Meridien Modena.  Graham also raced in FF1600 and the British Formula 3 Championship in the 1980s. In 1987 he raced a Ralt RT31 with a VW Brabham engine

@bencommentator Would you also consider Oulton Park Fosters or full International track? You would have my vote😁

Still think if you want to spice up the F1 grid - qualifying races should be held in identical RF92s and on either the Brands Hatch Indy circuit or pre-91 Silverstone national circuit - regardless of GP location

The Brabham BT62 racing in the GT Cup @Oulton_Park on Sat 3rd July 2021. It finished 5th in race 1 and gained a podium in race 2. The car generates 700 bhp from a naturally aspirated 5.4 litre V8 engine and sounded fantastic around the circuit. @brabhamauto @BrabhamMotorsp1

@NavalAirHistory @rwilliams1947 Perhaps, yes. I presume the issue with be finding funding for this. We're blessed in the UK by having great track investment from MSV and the BARC. French circuits are not so fortunate. Ecclestone's investments at Paul Richard helped with keeping it uptodate for F1's return.

In its present form, Paul Ricard has to be the worst circuit ever used by #F1. Simultaneously garish and featureless, it makes a travesty of the French GP, a race once held at Reims-Gueux, Rouen-les-Essarts and Clermont-Ferrand. Worse than the Caesars Palace car park.

1970 was a very successful year for the Porsche manufacturer in the World Sportscar Championship. They won 9 out of the 10 races that year with a second place for Steve McQueen and Peter Revson in the 12 hours of Sebring in a Porsche 908.
