Lines of code written by Gauntlet AI students in Cursor yesterday: Person 1: 6,869 Person 2: 5,550 Person 3: 4,880 Person 4: 4,233 Person 5: 4,073 And we had a bunch of other stuff going on. Totally believe a founder grinding 12 hours/day can write 10,000 lines of code.
Paul Graham@paulg

I met a founder today who said he writes 10,000 lines of code a day now thanks to AI. This is probably the limit case. He's a hotshot programmer, he knows AI tools very well, and he's talking about a 12 hour day. But he's not naive. This is not 10,000 lines of bug-filled crap.

Almost $4k in Cursor spend about to become zero next month because of poor context management. Switching over to @AnthropicAI Claude code and @RepoPrompt

Should have done this a while ago, but one-shot my portfolio site with v0 and deployed to firebase hosting with custom subdomain completely for free: alanli-portfolio.web.app

Anyone can make an app in a few minutes now with Claude. It’s boring. Instead we should be pushing AI to the boundary of its knowledge, so that it’s faltering halfway between hallucination and true novel discovery—because what is innovation but hallucinations proven to be true?

Finally found an AI workflow which seems to understand Metal and GPU programming paradigms: >>Claude code orchestration with @RepoPrompt MCP Pair programming: -> Automatic file tree & context selection -> Repoprompt Gemini 2.5 pro planning & o3 editing -> Claude code debugging & execution Meanwhile... @cursor_ai still trying to add print statements into Metal kernels

I’m being ostracized for not believing that multi-agent frameworks work. I will not relent. I am not polyamorous. 1 Man 1 Claude

Met with the creator of @RepoPrompt today. Probably the most powerful AI coding tool out there. A game changer for context management in large codebases

Observations after Day 2 of porting OpenCV to Metal using AI: - with a repo size of over 500mb, context management is king - you need guard rails in place for anything more complex than filters, otherwise Claude will start adding print statements to try to debug your Metal kernels

About to add Metal support in OpenCV in one week using AI at @gauntletai. Someone tell me why this is a terrible idea please

Stay tuned for the world's first AI real-time strategy game. No more micromanaging all your units; instead you decide their system prompts and give high-level orders and watch as they adapt in real time. @gauntletai

Yeah I think you’re right. One thing I was chatting about with @alanliDR and @rooshonline are cursor’s chat responses. Its system prompt could good do with some serious tweaking to make it less verbose, self-congratulatory, and emoji-happy. It just eats up context unecessarily.

AI pulse check I’ve been thinking about: I’m noticing a shift away from Cursor as the default build tool amongst hardcore AI builders, towards other tools like @ClaudeCode and @repoprompt.. Cursor nerfs the model’s full strength (context limit) to save on cost and speed. But the hardcore builders want to harness an AI model’s FULL power and these tools get them there by cutting out the middle man (cursor). Cursor is great, but top AI engineers want all the context they can get and these other tools are giving that better right now.
