Pictures of damage caused to the away end in Oriel Park last night. Whatever your views on Oriel Park, a huge effort was carried out by volunteers in recent weeks to try and make small improvements where possible to the ground. How does this improve the away fan experience?

@alanroverskelly @DanMulhall It would be difficult at short notice to change suppliers, as ships are scheduled, production allocations and constraints, not to mention extra costs due to transportation. Hugely possible, but there will be a lag whilst things are reorganised etc.

The climate of opinion is shifting fast on the transatlantic front. Such suggestions from a prominent European would have been unthinkable just a few months ago. Now they are at least on the agenda. Difficult decisions looming for the EU & especially for Ireland given our particular sensitivities.

@GerardNagle @DanMulhall Pushing Europe towards LNG from Australia, Qatar, China. This is what pisses Trump and Americans off the most, they're realising the world doesn't depend on them for everything and their control has dwindled naturally over time as the globe became more entwined.

By only imposing tariffs on only 8 European countries, Trump has left 2/3 of Europe unaffected. Those other European countries are far less likely to speak out against Trump's policy now. They want to avoid tariffs on themselves. President Trump has launched a divide and conquer strategy on Europe, in order to apply pressure on Greenland. Denmark, Germany, Britain, Sweden, Norway, France, Finland and the Netherlands now face the prospect of their economies getting squeezed from the largest market on the planet. The next step will be 25% tariffs in June. Likely sanctions and their strategic companies are also under consideration. Those countries already are in weak financial situations, with stagnant economies, energy prices that are 2x to 4x higher than the USA, regulations strangling their businesses. Trump cutting them off from the largest market on the planet will push many of their manufacturers over the edge, forcing them to move or shutdown. The European Union caved on a trade deal with the USA in 2025 because they knew they had zero leverage. Europe needs the USA. The USA is perfectly fine with squeezing Europe for leverage. That is the reality of the situation.

@SuperHoops1901 I just go off personal experience from last season and that match goers with younger kids are put off by the later kick offs with a schoolday following. I think in them scenarios, people are choosing maybe 1 late school night a week with the Euro games Thur & league game Sun.
