Ugh. Don’t make bichronous a word. Besides, thousands of us have been teaching online this way for at least a decade. It’s not new. Besides, how do you say that? It sounds horrible whether like bicycle or bicker. Although Bickeronous has possibilities. :) er.educause.edu/articles/2020/…
@mweller Elite business model: invest in building research reputation to hit top of rankings; use perceived elite status to select the brightest and wealthiest; dont worry about good teaching because they have the advantages to learn something anyway and the connections to get good jobs.
Google is rolling out a new suite of career certifications. Most interesting: they will be valued like 4-yr degrees in hiring. “In our own hiring, we will now treat these new career certificates as the equivalent of a four-year degree for related roles.”
