Our reception children didn’t let the rain spoil their fun this afternoon as they were invited to celebrate the opening of Stapleford’s cycle hub. The children enjoyed riding their bikes around the track and even met former Olympic gold medal winning cyclist @Chris_Boardman

Oak class have had a lovely morning at the allotment. They got to experience pond dipping, mini beast hunting and even took part in a scavenger hunt. A huge thank you to @DigInStapleford for hosting.

Today we released our butterflies. It has been great to observe their life cycle in classrooms over the past few weeks as it helped topic of life cycles come alive to the children.

We have been very lucky to have the @salvationarmy band join us in our hall for an afternoon of musical performances today. The children even had a go at performing with some of their instruments- it was a lot harder than it looks!

And the winning team of the 2023/24 Albany Infant School Sports day with a total of 197 points was………THE RED TEAM! Well done to everyone who took part, the scores were very close in the end but the reds did just enough to win. Enjoy showing off those medals this weekend!🥇🥇

What a great sports day we had yesterday! Thank you to all who attended and took part in our sports day raffle and blind auction. We raised an amazing £409 in total and have some amazing photographs courtesy of @austenblakemore of the day too!

What a great morning we have had with our reception and nursery sports day! We had a great turn out from all and some very competitive races. Well done everyone!

Today was our first ever ‘Stay and exercise’ session. Our parents and children took part in a 30 minute Zumba session delivered by AM sports. It was great to see everyone trying their best and encouraging each other to keep up. Well done everyone! #community @healthyschools

Year 2 have had a fabulous day at @GoApeTribe. They have all tried their best and had a great try at the high rope course. Well done Year 2!! 🙊

What a great end to the week! Today, we held a picnic to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and wore our best red,white and blue clothes. Each child received a commemorative badge as a keepsake of the historic event happening this weekend. 👑

So today we said goodbye to our chicks who left to go to their new home with Mrs Marshall our chair of governors. Mrs Marshall even brought Rhubarb and Violet back to school to meet the children. Rhubarb and Violet were our chicks two years ago- They have grown so much!
