2/2 From Steve Jobs to today’s AI giants, the lesson is timeless: success comes from saying no. In a world where companies can build anything, the real edge is focus—choosing the few bets that truly matter and doubling down on them.

1/2 In the #AIrace, the biggest advantage isn’t building more—it’s building less. Anthropic won with Claude Code by focusing ruthlessly on developers, while OpenAI is now learning the hard way that chasing too many ideas can dilute impact

China’s state media turned the US-Iran conflict into an AI generated cartoon and captured the gist of the conflict pretty perfectly! Cinematically really well done! A+ trolling! Thanks to @AngelicaOung for adding subtitles!

2/2 Europe & Canada now see China as the leader in AI, EVs & tech — and believe the 21st century belongs to Beijing, not Washington. Only Americans still think the US will dominate in 10 years. The gap in perception couldn't be wider. #ChinaRising #GlobalPowerShift

1/2 A new @politico poll shows US allies Canada, UK, France & Germany increasingly prefer depending on China over the US. 57% of Canadians say it's better to rely on China than Trump's America. The pivot isn't pro-China — it's anti-Trump

The US war with Iran has now cost over $21 billion. In two weeks. $21,000,000,000. DOGE canceled $100 million in humanities grants to reduce the deficit. The deficit was not reduced. This war costs that every 12 hours. $21 billion for a war launched on a feeling. With no congressional authorization. With no exit strategy. With a rejected peace deal. With 14 Americans dead. With the Strait closed to American ships. With Canada, Switzerland, and Japan saying no. With JD Vance blaming Biden for the gas prices it caused. Rand Paul found $37 billion in missing border wall money. Pete Hegseth wants a celebration. $21 billion. Two weeks. Never stop connecting the dots.

The Curious Tales
The Curious Tales@thecurioustales·
The most dangerous resignation letter in tech history just got ignored by almost everyone. When a robotics chief walks away from the fastest growing AI company on the planet, most people file it under “internal drama.” A senior exec disagreed with leadership. It happens. Move on. The reason she left is what demands your full attention. OpenAI signed a deal with the Pentagon. The same OpenAI that was founded on a single organizing principle — that artificial general intelligence should benefit all of humanity and never be weaponized by any single government, military, or power structure. That founding commitment was not fine print. It was the entire moral justification for building something this powerful in the first place. The robotics chief watched that principle get quietly shelved and decided her name would not be on what comes next. What comes next is the part nobody is talking about loudly enough. Military AI does not stay in the military. The surveillance architectures, the autonomous targeting logic, the real time behavioral pattern recognition built for battlefield deployment gets licensed, adapted, and absorbed into civilian infrastructure within a decade. Every major surveillance technology the public now accepts as normal passed through a defense contract first. OpenAI building autonomous weapons capability is not a future risk. It is a present engineering decision being made right now by people who will never face the consequences of what those systems do once deployed in environments where accountability does not exist. The researcher who left understood something the press cycle missed completely. Resigning was not protest. It was refusal to provide expert legitimacy to a trajectory she could see clearly from the inside. That trajectory ends somewhere none of us voted for.

.@BurgerKing clapped back fast: their president Tom Curtis took a massive Whopper bite, grinned, and captioned it "Thought we'd replay this". Wendy's jumped in too. But here's the twist — all the chaos is actually boosting McDonald's sales. 2/2

A 13-second video just reignited the @McDonalds's vs @BurgerKing rivalry. McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski took a tiny, hesitant bite of the new Big Arch burger — and the internet roasted him mercilessly. "Looks like a training video on how to eat a burger." #FastFood 1/2

Corporate org charts are a relic of military command structures — adding latency, freezing strategies, and killing flexibility. AI agents are about to change all of that. The era of rigid hierarchies is ending 1/2
