Whoever tabled a motion to impeach Mike Sonko as the Governor Nairobi will be cursed forever. Sonko developed Nairobi in just 2 years. He was helping the needy and many other things. Yesterday, he was seen spending time with baby Talisha, offering comfort during an extremely painful chapter in her young life. Baby Talisha recently lost her mother, Anita, who was allegedly murdered by her husband, Captain Edwin Kaunga of the Kenya Defence Forces, in a deeply disturbing incident that reportedly happened in front of the child. The tragedy has left Talisha emotionally shattered and facing a future marked by trauma and loss that no child should ever experience. All in all, everything will be OK. God knows the reason why.

I mourn the passing of Patrick Mukabi, the artist behind the iconic paintings in all Java House wall paintings. As a newbie journalist, my bery first assignment was to cover the story of how Mukabi memorialised the 1998 bombing of the US embassy in Nairobi. I have followed his work over the years and my best series from his collection was Market Women. Mukabi did a lot of work teaching youngsters to paint. But above all, he immortalised many aspects of Nairobi social life. He is a national treasure. The city of Nairobi owes him a great of gratitude. We need a City Arts Council to recognise such artists Wangui Maina and Dennis Onsarigo.

@georgediano Diano , I've used that archives toilet and I can say public sector doesn't perform well in Kenya . If that said businessman can provide modern toilets well and good coz I know they will be maintained well . Donge ?

Those toilets in the CBD are owned by private individuals, not the county government (kanjo). They make up to 50K on a daily basis. The Archive toilet that was demolished was owned by a businessman from Eastleigh. It is alleged that he was paying a monthly rent of 500K to City Hall cartels until a man named Kimani approached them with a higher offer of 1 million per month. Kimani plans to introduce a modern toilet with executive bathrooms inside. The toilet business is very lucrative. Before the Jubilee duo took over, these toilets were free for the public and maintained by the county government.
