It’s sad that we’ve already reached a point where guides for spotting AI generated images are necessary.
Unfortunately guides like this really are necessary, luckily this is a useful guide…

A.I. photos are flooding social media and contributing to an Internet where we can't believe what we see. Spotting A.I. 📷s is an important media literacy skill. It takes a few seconds to spot a fake and stop the spread of disinformation. Let's learn how! 🧵(1/5)

@Columbia Moreover, I’m disappointed and angry. This looks harmless, the author seems credentialed, and it’s a rapacious mush of nonsense, taking advantage of low-information readers and harried buyers, and eroding the unconscious faith people have in books. Glad they got a refund. 6/6

I didn’t expect to become so cynical about technologies to generate text, but here we are: a “coobook” purchased by a hospital, intended for use by patients. Note the “2000+ Day Recipe” panel. It is a lie.

You know what makes me angry?
When I admit a patient with metastatic cancer who’s unlikely to survive… and if that patient had been able to access a family doctor and simple routine screening tests they would have been most likely cured months ago. Now it’s too late.
This happens far too often. Not being able to access care sooner is absolutely killing people. It happens over and over again. It’s pretty pathetic for the billions of dollars we spend on healthcare.

Disappointed with @PurolatorInc - I have a tracking number, but when I enter it on the web site, I don’t get any tracking information - just a link to download an app. Sure, I can check later on a desktop, but web is a mature enough technology to have it work on iPhone as well.

@PurolatorHelp Hi Delphine, thank you for the reply! I am reluctant to DM such information, but if you DM me a purolator email address, I’d be happy to send details there.
English

@alexamarchive We have made some changes to our API that could be affecting the tracking function. Could you please send us a DM with your tracking number so that we can submit a report? - Delphine

@PurolatorHelp Hi Guylaine, thanks for your reply. There’s no VPN on the device, and no adblock beyond what’s native to the browsers. If basic iPhone browsers are incompatible with the site, that seems problematic! Would appreciate hearing back, rather than a suggestion to DM. Thanks!

@alexamarchive It would be an issue preventing it from working like an add pop up blocker or VPN. - Guylaine

@PurolatorHelp Hi, thanks for replying. I’ve tried with both Firefox and Safari on iOS 15. Is it accurate to say that neither of those support the purolator website? Surprising if so.
English

@alexamarchive Hello Alex, it could be the type of browser your are using or the device having issues. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Reagrds, - Guylaine

@PurolatorHelp Would you be able to elaborate as to the nature of these restrictions? Thanks in advance :)
English

@alexamarchive This is due to restrictions on your end. Please send us your tracking number through DM. -Vanessa

When we studied teacher compensation last year, we found that it takes ALMOST TEN YEARS of work as a teacher before salaries cover cost-of-living. How on earth are you supposed to get smart candidates to join the profession if that's true?
