@eurochallenges I agree, security is priority nr 1. Sadly we can't take into account environmental concerns in this context. Without energy, we are doomed. We need to build our own autonomy in this domain no matter the costs!

I see many people arguing for nuclear and renewables as a solution. I fully support nuclear and renewables+batteries BUT you underestimate how hydrocarbons are needed for industry, from medical supplies to car tires to plastics… IMO Europe needs to start considering fracking.
European Challenges@eurochallenges

We absolutely are heading for an energy crisis in Europe. How bad and how long it will be are the real questions. This was mostly caused by the American unnecessary and badly planned attack on Iran, and Europe’s incapacity to assert its strategic interests against the US.

@Microinteracti1 I think the agenda is quite clear. It's to use Hungary as a non-compliant member within the EU together with Slovakia. The US wants the EU to be fractured and control our internal descision-making-processes hindering vital policymaking on strenghtening EU Autonomy.

🇭🇺🇺🇸 Why is it suddenly in the United States’ national interest that Hungary prospers only as long as Viktor Orbán remains in power? What, exactly, does America gain from tying itself to a dictator in a country of ten million, instead of strengthening relations with the rest of Europe, a continent of roughly 700 million people, integrated markets, advanced industrial capacity, shared intelligence, and the most reliable U.S. security partners in the world? There is no strategic upside here. The United States gains no leverage, no scale, no technological edge, no economic multiplier. What it risks instead is reputational damage, weakened alliances, reduced trust, and long term isolation from the democratic bloc that underpins Western power in the 21st century. Marco Rubio stands as the spokesperson for a foreign policy shift that offers the United States nothing.

The EU will step up efforts to diversify away from American liquefied natural gas following U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats to take control of Greenland, EU energy chief Dan Jørgensen said today. politico.eu/article/eu-wil…

Prime Minister Frederiksen: We have been able to take a very important decision within the European Union - to phase out fossil fuels from Russia. All Europeans can see now that it was a huge mistake to be dependent on Russian fossil fuels. We should never have done that.

@alexando1241 @Gerashchenko_en The US is not currently fighting a European country for 1. Use your brain. More importantly develop your own resources.

@JohnnyMoJo23 @LeninVlad420 @Gerashchenko_en I think i see your point. However, using that rhetoric is highly damaging and loses trust among his allies. Even if he has no intent of actually enacting his words to reality. It destroys diplomatic ties and relations as allies sees his rhetoric as untrustworthy

@alexando1241 @LeninVlad420 @Gerashchenko_en why would he limit himself in rhetoric when he’s negotiating? he’ll NEVER do that. listen to his retarded audio book, art of the deal. he lays it all out there and if you wanna be less triggered by every syllable he utters, it’s worthwhile

@alexando1241 @Gerashchenko_en It’s beyond obvious that Europe needs to build nuclear power plants, and follow Trump’s “all of the above” energy policies. The 2 biggest mistakes would be to do nothing and/or listen to the nutjob environmentalists.

@derekdo59209506 @eurochallenges From what I understand, nation states within the EU decide themselves on how they will handle Visa application handouts. So its not a supranational decison by the EU in that sense. Do you have a source for the numbers? Im interested

European citizens have had enough of mass immigration. Ursula von der Leyen previously spoke about opening legal pathways of immigration and import "millions" of people. The exact opposite what Europeans want. Now, she just announced the first EU Legal Gateway hub in India, opening immigration from a country of 1,4 billion people. EU member states don't need the EU to open legal pathways. They have always managed individually to decide about legal entry and conditions.
Disclose.tv@disclosetv

NEW - EU signs an "agreement on mobility," with India facilitating "the movement of students, researchers, seasonal and highly skilled workers," and launches the "first EU Legal Gateway Office in India" to support Indian talent moving to Europe."
