@MikeIsaac I find it’s a good deal. Aside from Music, Fitness+ is awesome for someone telling me what to do when I’m working out, and News+ gives me access to The Atlantic without needing to subscribe

kept seeing the apple One bundle — 38 bucks a month for a bunch of subs — and pulled the trigger hesitated for a while because im a longtime Spotify user and switching to Apple Music has been a curve — but HiFi quality has been a gamechanger split with others and it’s a steal

It's that time of the year again where I tell everyone what I've been working on because...I've launched something (and normally I just stay quiet about it) but today there's a thread (and some links) coming.....

@perrigame We have a neighbour like this who we say hello to regularly and chat with when she’s out walking her dog, and I only know her as Chester’s mum

I’ve made really good friends with a woman who works near me. We stop and chat most days, she’s popped in for coffee and vice verse, she helped fix my printer when it was broken, we’ve planned to go to a food festival next week together, and I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HER NAME IS.

@KCGrock @SFMTA_Muni Is the Hairball the intersection at Bayshore/Cesar Chavez/101 ramp? I’ve never heard it called that before but it makes sense - it’s gnarly for drivers and cyclists like. I avoid that intersection on my bike at every opportunity.

The planned two-way protected bike lane on Cesar Chavez is going to be such a huge improvement. Way safer connections to the Hairball and Evans Ave. Great work @SFMTA_Muni

The Oakland A’s were killed by greed. Do not allow the people responsible for this to spin it any other way. John Fisher did not have to move this team. Major League Baseball and its owners did not need to be complicit in it. This was a choice. A wrong one. History will sneer.

@JohnKingSFChron Congratulations on your retirement - I’ve really enjoyed reading your articles and have learned so much about SF’s built environment from your pieces. I hope the Chronicle keeps this role going.

@perpetua @spildrejordet Not sure how relevant it still is for today, but “Half the World Away” was the theme song to a TV show, “The Royle Family”, back in the late 90s

@spildrejordet pretty much anything from Heathen Chemistry, by far their worst record, being so high - "Stand By Me" is way bigger than you'd think but I understand it was in some UK ad? similar reason for "Half the World Away" being so big

I feel like most people think of Oasis as "only the first two records", but if you look at their top 30 on Spotify, listeners spread their attention around the entire discography + there's a few songs that are surprisingly huge for what I can only assume are British Reasons

Made a hyperbolic statement yesterday but now I'm intrigued. What are the other truly great rock albums made by white men in their 50s? And, yes, I count Read & Burn as a complete album.
AM@Andr6wMale

@LukeTurnerEsq @MrPMHarrison Autofiction up there with Wire’s Read & Burn Pt. 1&2 as best rock album made by white men in their 50s.

I like a bit of saxophone. Is there a contemporary track that has a great bit of saxophone on it? How far back to you have to go?🧐
