the best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. go outside, try new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, speak to people, ask questions, side quest. the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.

I dislike being pitied.

A good night in Lagos can make you think the country has no problem

forever grateful that at my lowest point i chose to become disgustingly educated, build myself back up and go after everything i’ve ever dreamed of. i refused to let misery consume me, chose fulfillment instead, and i’ll always be grateful to myself for being so good to me

I’m jealous of countries that have a competent president.
