Checking out for the foreseeable from Twitter, I've learned lots, followed some great people and kept up with news across the world. I don't want to be counted in MAU that's being used to normalise and defend the indefensible. Uninstalling the app now. @alexpearson" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">mastodon.social/@alexpearson

Nothing is putting me more off Twitter than this constant "secret they don't want you to know" promoted bollocks that I'm flooded with now... Definitely giving @alexpearson@mastodon.social a good go now.

@cybergibbons There's usually that weird yoghurt, muesli and berry concentrate (sure there's a proper name for that concoction)... Most of the tax avoiding coffee chains in train stations do it, it's my go to for a healthier breakfast at a train station...

Wanting to keep my meat free streak... There's not many non-meat breakfast options at train stations. Porridge or porridge.

@thebsdbox [read in a Monty Python voice] call that childcare? We've packed up a soaking wet tent and been on the same rollercoaster 4x before that time... How long do you need to be damp for before you can claim to be aquatic? Hope the soft play has good coffee!

It’s 10:30am on a Sunday and I’ve already been at toddler soft play for an hour.

@cody_bunch Good luck with it, it's super annoying when things part-fail.

Well, that’s fun. UniFi switch is passing packets, but not responding to mgmt requests anymore. Same with APs. Just how I wanted to spend the morning

@TheAA_UK just a thought... Considered not forcing us to listen to all the options in the IVR before even getting into a call queue? It's really hostile and blatantly designed to waste people's time to put off calls. If you want to optimise how about a callback service?

I'll hand it to #sheffield, as exiting a train station goes, it's a pretty good one.

@vicnastea Clearly you need to smear a bit of Nagvis (? it was a long time ago) over the top, to add that single pain of glass feel to it...

I just found this super easy to use observability tool. Has anyone used this in production before? How'd it work out?

Seeing the interview in its entirety is sickening, but at the same time the bullying & patronising nature of it is getting plenty of coverage for what is the most crucial time for our future existence on this planet. Only one person came out of this well & that’s Miranda Whelehan

Fantastic responses to some pretty shocking "interviewing" 👏 #DontLookUp #RichardMadeley @GaryLineker #JustStopOil

Scathing insight into the damage being done to the @BBC and how it's perceived globally. It's almost like there's a clear pattern of the UK's institutions being dismantled... #NHS

The incredible Mr Ed@afinefellow

@doctorow @BBC Otherwise, from California, you are just a tiny island that has a nice democracy and good lamb. And New Zealand does those better.

@cybergibbons The Quest 2 has been good for a bit of playing. Inside out tracking and AirLink are both good features it has. Supporting both gaming on the device and via a PC was a plus for me, however AirLink is still a bit flakey getting things to launch.

Anyone got any hot tips for low cost, but usable, VR headsets for gaming? Second hand - even trying to fix a faulty one - is fine. Seen a lot of Rift S with damaged cables... but the replacement cable is £45.

@nickwperry That's quite neat, what sensors are you using? The cheap one I've currently got isn't directly sensing, and I've zero confidence in the readings.

These people should be ashamed of themselves. The younger generations are already set for a huge burden because of the ignorance and inaction of those before them. What he's asking for is others to bear the costs and implications of his actions. Shameful.

🟢The younger generation should pay for the Government's net zero pledge instead of current bill-payers who will not benefit from it, a House of Lords committee has said #Echobox=1646379509-2" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">telegraph.co.uk/politics/2022/…
