@GaidenSucks Gameplay isn't deltarune's strongest point in general and a lot of it is still very straightfoward in the same way undertale was but there is an attempt with the way the first half of chapter 4 is laid out

It's kinda funny how ingrained dungeon crawling was with old jrpgs and nowadays it's actually not that uncommon to see a jrpg release that doesn't even have any dungeons actually

@GaidenSucks Pokemon is like one of the most extreme examples of this I think

@GaidenSucks Not everyone's going to agree but the actual level design outside of combat is still important to the overall gameplay of jrpgs

Taking the "It's 3 games because there are 3 disks" logic to it's extreme and hoping for a 2 part xenogears remake series where the first one ends at Solaris and the second game is just a 50 hour visual novel

Started playing Etrian Odyssey and I'm going to assume barely scraping by for the first couple floors is the average experience with this game

Been on the "play several short games and then a long jrpg" loop lately and it's pretty awesome
