AI is great until you actually need help 🤖❌ One month ago, I tried to upload my subscribers to Substack but my lists got denied automatically. I sent emails to support but no one replied and the bot just shared posts from the help center and didn't help at all. I asked to connect to human but it ignored my request. How ridiculous that AI overtook customer support job but didn't help resolve the issue. So I decided to write a comment under one of their recent posts and I even saw that someone from Substack liked it but nothing happened. x.com/ilyanovohatsky… Then I researched about alternatives to switch to another platform. I checked beehiiv, Kit and Ghost and tried to compare them to choose the best one. I'm writing emails since the time Twitter launched Revue in 2021 so I knew what I needed and I was really upset when Elon Musk acquired Twitter and shut down Revue, it had really good potential. But anyways, I compared all these platforms for an hour and was tired so didn't make a decision. The next morning I received an email from Substack support and David saying that my imports are verified and approved. I was happy that I can continue writing my emails. I love Substack and honestly I didn't want to switch because their platform reminds me about Revue and it's one of the best for email content creators. This situation shows how powerful social media platforms like @X could be and how useless AI bots are because if the request isn't possible to execute they don't escalate to human (maybe scared that they also can be replaced). Huge thanks to @Substack support and special thanks to Catherine @ValentineNews_ for solving my issue with subscriber uploads in one day 🧡

Building in public, day 88: Lately out of the blue, I get a lot of notifications of new users almost simultaneously. As if someone name dropped it in a big chat somewhere. I love it, but would like to know how this occurs. Time to implement proper attribution systems… 🔨
