@SM66634659 @alextenenbaum @joeygold1 @GeoffArsenal Pretty sure you said it was defo id checks I’ll await your apology
English

@joeygold1 @SM66634659 @macca_38 @GeoffArsenal UEFA have changed the wording now away from mandatory ID checks

English

@Stsantek @SamTheodoridi This is absolutely shocking. He led the party into breaking equalities laws by harassing and discriminating against an ethnic minority with the enquiry finding his office culpable. He should have been kicked out the party years ago.
English

@SamTheodoridi Not only should we let him back, we should apologise for letting Keir act out his personal and factional animosity through our party structures, and respect a man who has spend his entire life campaigning within the party.
English

Completely, totally agree. If I get elected on the NEC I will be proposing this.

NEW: John McDonnell has told @cathynewman he hopes Andy Burnham reinstates Jeremy Corbyn as a Labour MP and he’d “raise it with him” personally. @TimesRadio
English

@alexfrco @Squarehead3331 You sell Zubimendi, Norgaard, Nwaneri.
Eesti

@Squarehead3331 Sure but then how do we balance that with Merino/Øde/Ethan/Eze? I mean I guess the answer is that we don’t.
Unless we firmly commit to sharing minutes out in different positions (MLS @ LB; Eze @ LW; Merino @ CF lol) then even keeping 7 of these guys content seems impossible no?
English

Big fan of Matheus Fernandes and think he’d be a great fit under Arteta, but:
Even with how versatile he is, do we actually need him?

Arsenal are interested in signing West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes thetimes.com/sport/football…
English

@cmbftbl Zubi is heading back to Basque Country. It’s over for him.
English

@NicholasTyrone Got on John Healey at 75/1. What do you reckon? Also on Ed Miliband at 50s a while back.
English

@BBSignals @DarrenArsenal1 What odds on ID checks? Have you got any intel please?
English

Update from the club. As my poll from last night has shown, not everyone who applied is now buying the tickets in the 1st phase, so there will be a phase 2 and that will go to those on Standby end of this week. Those on standby will be emailed accordingly.
Once the phase 2 tickets have sold out the club will then put the Screening tickets on sale to those ST holders who did not buy or apply for final tickets, then silver and then red members if any remain.
No news on capacity yet, but i expect it to be 30,000-40,000
English

@alextenenbaum @macca_38 @GeoffArsenal Its soft data mate, this is a UEFA event so information will be shared. And GDPR rules are circumvented as these are financial transactions that can involve misrepresentation and fraud. If the member lives in Manchester and its bought in London, thats a clear flag.
English

@SM66634659 @macca_38 @GeoffArsenal Yeah I don’t think they can see card details etc. But they can see email addresses and names of buyers. The language is “purchase information.” Arsenal also say that there MAY be id checks. Most Arsenal fans get their news from them not uefa so I am sure they won’t get it wrong.
English

@alextenenbaum @macca_38 @GeoffArsenal If you think about it, buy a ticket with a card that Arsenal aren't familiar with, or a location that doesn't match the members are simple flags to put on the ticket. Then at the turnstiles or the corden, get an ID request flagged up. If it doesn't match you are in the shit.
English

@SM66634659 @macca_38 @GeoffArsenal I spoke to Arsenal. They said minimal ID checks and they do their checks with uefa data before the game.
Hungary games are different because all Hungarian football fans have to carry ID by law. There weren’t any at Europa final a few years ago either.
English

@macca_38 @GeoffArsenal Mate knows someone who lives in Budapest, he's been to internationals at Puskas. They ask for ID. Not sure there's a lot more to be said tbh.
English

@alextenenbaum @DarrenArsenal1 Vienna for 3 days here. Flying in Friday back Monday. About to hit the trigger on a 4 star aparthotel near the Bus terminal. £260 for 3 nights, as opposed to £1k + in a bang average hotel/apartment. One day trip into Budapest, and return by bus to Vienna. Budapest too greedy.
English

@alextenenbaum @DarrenArsenal1 Did they cancel on you? I think a lot of private accommodation will do this and get greedy.
English

@10akhil any idea on how strict they will be with ID checks?
English

@AFCFixtureNews Okay but you've said that anyone can use the access code - i.e. if i send it to my friend to book to make sure we sit together, he can insert it. Therefore at the point he receives the ticket, he could forward it to anyone with a uefa account, no?
English

@MrInfernusHD @Anand_P5 @AFCFixtureNews But the only name they ask for is the name of the lead booker isn't it?
English

@Anand_P5 @AFCFixtureNews I think you get one code, which gives you access to the website. The booking must be in your name, and you have the ability to buy up to 6 when on the uefa website.
English

@AFCFixtureNews But they dno't ask for names when you book the tickets? They only ask for access codes. Only name you give is lead booker.
English

I think the most terrifying thing for Labour, amid all of this, is that there are no plausible candidates to replace Starmer in the parliamentary party.
Streeting never had a job and was pals with Mandelson. Rayner…ain’t happening.
Burnham was your guy. You chose wipe out!
