Today, I joined stakeholders from the International Labour Organization, FKE, development partners, private and public sectors in a Policy Dialogue geared towards creating harmonization in skills development for synergy in addressing the dynamic labour market. The main message resounding from the speakers and participants was aligning of training and industry needs. Once again, I reiterated the importance of skilling our trainees in specific skill sets to promote quality and relevance of the workforce graduating from the TVET institutions. I laud ILO’s effort in organizing this Policy Dialogue that explored critical issues at the core of strengthening Kenya’s skills development ecosystem.
