Every creative person I know that has embraced AI as a tool for their art has produced more content this month than all of last year. A true creative individual sees AI and feels completely empowered. They feel like the entire world has opened up to them. But a lot of self professed creative people, who have been grifting as creatives for decades, are about to be exposed as frauds who and pretenders who only know how to work within the politics of the current system. They will sit down before the greatest tool for creativity the world has ever known and not have a single idea how to use it or what story to tell. Pay attention to what is happening and who rejects the gift, and who embraces it.

Research indicates that we retain knowledge better when reading on paper rather than on screens. So it stands to reason that professors would advocate for reading printed books.

@CameronCorduroy I had a $600,000 over 5 years NSF Physics grant terminated last year because our grant mentioned "polarization" which was included in the banned terms list. We were discussing the polarization of light. We never got the grant reinstated.

@ReadsRina @emhoneyreads Thousands of readers and writers combine their judgment in thousands of contexts. Standards are decided in that way. It's not "elitist," it's communitarian, and you can be a member of that community if you want. It's not that big of a deal.

People who are criticizing people for the books they read are the problem. They always have been, and always will be. Read what you love, enjoy yourself, and be respectful of others. It’s that simple ♥️
