i'm so excited to finally share what we've been working on @rhodaai! taking lessons from success in LLMs, we identify autoregressive video generation as a scalable objective for training robot policies. 1/n

After operating in stealth for the last 18 months @rhodaai , we’re excited today to finally show the world what we’ve been working on. We believe we’re on a path to physical AGI with the launch of our brand new foundation model, the Direct Video Action (DVA) model.

No one at @tryramp’s Builders Cup could beat Codex in Minecraft. We texted our Mac: “PvP the next challenger and record it.” People stepped up. Codex beat every one of them. OBS clipped their reactions. That demo won Relay 1st place in the Codex track 🏆

@ryancjulian although my impression was that FAIR was driven to the ground by a mix of corporate politics and lecun’s insistence on keeping FAIR fully open source

@ryancjulian perhaps i should have used a more charitable phrasing, but i meant to make the point that not all research becomes a product, and it doesn’t need to as research is not just done for developing products.

that's some grade A academia gatekeeping right there. pure Yann LeCun thought. the kind that ran FAIR right into the ground. historically, the majority of the most important advancements in the history of computing and electronics took place in industrial research labs.

@NotionHQ why is it so hard to write any kind of math expression or symbol quickly. it shouldn't take me more keystrokes to enter math mode than to write what i want
