@wwnorton was my dream publisher for this book. I am very grateful that my editor is @Pete__Simon, Editor-in-Chief at @LiverightPub, who has edited such works as The Norton Anthology of World Literature volumes and #EmilyWilson's translations of The Odyssey and The Iliad.

Thrilled to announce that my anthology of Old Norse skaldic poetry translations, THE SKALDS, will be published by @wwnorton @LiverightPub.
THE SKALDS contains Viking Age and medieval poems on battle, sailing, sorcery, love, history, mythology and so much more 🧵

@backupatac @DonovanDirk @zei_squirrel You’ve clearly never read Sam’s work. Letter to a Christian Nation and The Wnd of Faith are searing condemnations of Christianity.

Some nice news.

@risingaction @TheStanchion @risingaction I remember that evening fondly as well. We spoke about our career swap. It appears to have worked out for both of us:)
English

@TheStanchion 2011: teaching at an after-school ESL-ish program that ran till 8 pm, dashing down Broadway to the Fairview — somehow had space for us — with @allegorically and other colleagues to watch the second period onwards of playoff games. Just fantastic vibes with good people.

@DBernierCormier Congratulations my friend!!! So well deserved. A scintillating read!

@diasporter @Danez_Smif Work more important than partner? Begs a. few questions. Yes, I suppose we could imagine a world where she is forced into using all the words at work, and the speaker understands.
English

@allegorically @Danez_Smif Unless you know how many words the person uses in their job or whatever commitments they might have had, you can’t make any reasonable judgements about why they’ve used them up. The speaker is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I don’t see how a reader wouldn’t also.
English

@diasporter @Danez_Smif Yes, toxic is projecting for sure. Poor word choice. But problematic.
English

@allegorically @Danez_Smif I don’t know how you got “toxic” out of that, but OK? You might want to examine why you’d engage in that type of projection.

@DanielCowper Yeah, we should have come and said hi. Next time:)
English

@DanielCowper I was….Marjali and I were hiding at the back. We ducked out a bit early during Q&A.
