@Hadley @steviemctweets If the org can use their skillet appropriately and not pigeonhole them into specific positions!

In the upcoming year, the job market will see a remarkable influx of former startup founders. I'd highly consider bringing these experienced problem solvers onto your team - their skills are exactly what dynamic organizations require to thrive.

My 2024 New Year’s resolutions: 1) Grow @EveryBanking. It has been super gratifying being a founding employee, bringing the company from 0->1. As we’ve found PMF, I’m excited to run Growth as the company goes from 1->♾️ and learn everything that entails. 2) Grow community. From living at @mission__ctrl to starting the @sigma2society SF chapter, I’m excited to continue cultivating the local young founder community. 3) Stick to my principles. If I feel uneasy about something, I want to speak up and assert my boundaries. It might be scary, but I’ve found people respect me more for it. 4) Continue hosting events. I host many events for founders at @EveryBanking and @sigma2society, and I’m excited to host more panels with @YoeriDassen at the intersection of technology and society. 5) Invest in relationships - especially my long distance friendships. They’re harder to maintain but deeply cherished and keep me grounded. ❤️ 6) Invest in startups. I already love helping/advising my founder friends, and I realized my life is basically centered around working with and empowering startups. This is the perfect way to deepen/formalize my involvement and align incentives. 7) Have fun! It’s easy to be swept up in the constant grind of always wanting to be productive, but I’m in my 20s! I want to channel my pre-pandemic/ pre-SF self and let myself just have fun: concerts, festivals, hikes, art galleries, books, etc. Taking some time off refreshes and energizes me. It’s vastly better than wasting time in the purgatory of lacking productive energy. 8) Read before bed. I found this is a great reset, improves my sleep quality, and reduces my tiredness the next day. It’s also a double whammy of enabling me to read more. I just finished "The Spy and the Traitor” about a senior KGB officer who was one of the most consequential double agents for the MI6. It’s riveting! 9) Tweet more. I want to share more of my learnings from all of the above. Happy NYE! 🥳

Help! Need 5-10 people to beta test a screening tool for O-1 and EB-1 visas. It gives a pretty good idea of who is/isn’t qualified for visas. Takes 3 minutes to complete. Will do a call / visa consultation with testers to verify accuracy afterwards. Comment or DM for link❤️

@ojoshe @BrianFeroldi @GRDecter I saw something about how for the first time ever American IQ's are dropping. Many things are potential culprits, but the increasing amount of automation is suspected to be one of them. And, it makes sense. Lack of thinking known to accelerate dementia too

The goal of the Western world is to minimize suffering rather than learn to endure it. It fails to recognize that life is inevitably going to have suffering.
