We were greatly honored to welcome a team from 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 who conducted a lab tour of Dkl DrKalebi Labs today, led by Dr Moses Alobo the Head of Programmes who was accompanied by researchers Judie Mbogua and Dr Kireki Omanwa Obstetrician & Gynaecologist / Former KOGS President and Fertility Specialist. The visit to DKL was to review and confirm the unique capabilities of our one-of-a-kind homegrown state-of-the-art and ultramodern ISO15189-accredited greenfield lab which has advanced technologies and AI-enabled systems for lab diagnostic testing including molecular testing, genetic testing, flow cytometry, andrology, digital pathology workflow and total lab automation (TLA) that is a first-of-its-kind in Africa. Science for Africa Foundation (SFA Foundation) is a pan-African, non-profit, public charitable organisation created to support, strengthen, and promote science and innovation in Africa. SFA Foundation believe that scientists and innovators are key actors in driving interventions to address Africa's most pressing challenges. It was quite a delight and pride to receive the positive reviews and feedback from the SFA Foundation team placing DKL at the cutting-edge of ultramodern lab diagnostics, of which DKL upon establishment in September 2024 was the very first private lab in Kenya to be accorded the status of a Class G National and International Diagnostic and Research Lab by KMLTTB in recognition of the great advancement in technology and systems now available in the country and region. SFA Foundation aims to become trusted partners, providing holistic support to African scientists, innovators and their institutions working across discovery, translational and implementation sciences with focus on co-creating solutions via dialogue and prioritize long-term ownership and sustainability. As a homegrown innovative, distributive and disruptive lab venture geared towards reshaping the landscape of pathology lab medicine for clinical diagnostics and research, DKL is excited to be well positioned and aligned with SFA Foundation’s push for equitable partnerships and collaborations, and the promotion of actionable scientific excellence in policy, knowledge and practice. We insha’Allah look forward to enhanced sustainable strategic partnerships and networking serving with excellence.

@AscaAfrica @SciforAfrica Yes indeed there is 'Éxistential dread' or at worst, 'Existential depression'. This affects the gifted individuals more. But there is a way out. Practice MINDFULNESS. Create a meaning from life by choosing a mission from situations around you or from people around you.
