Life is a test match, don’t play it like a T20!! The result day is going to be the last day not in 3 hours. #life #startup

@prakdadlani Hello Prakash - Founder of Drinkbot here, we built India’s first smart water bottle. I have been breathing Electronics, PCB, components, plastics, Glass, Steel, Copper manufacturing. 3D printings, Prototypes etc for the last 5 years. Know how difficult it is so - count me in!!

I can’t help everyone, But maybe you can. Every day, my DMs are flooded with questions on manufacturing: - plastics - motors - appliances - China sourcing - logistics … the volumes keep growing. My expertise is limited to a few areas. For PCB, 3D printing, machine design, steel, and more, I’ve had to point people elsewhere. If you’re willing to share your knowledge freely and guide others, drop your area of expertise below. I’ll keep a note and connect people directly to you when there’s a match. Let’s build a community of helping hands.

This is not entirely true. Meta not just counts likes, comments but a major part of their algorithm is based on clicks, time spent on a content type and scroll speed as well. 👇🏼

Shocked & gutted to hear about Neeraj Sir's passing. Met him post-Covid when he guided me into angel investing and pushed me to contribute more to the ecosystem. Just saw him in Bangalore a couple of weeks ago. He was full of energy, fitter than most. Always willing to help. Gone too soon 🙏 RIP @NeerajWFC

The book is finally here About 5 years ago, I started sharing my learnings from the ground on social media to help anyone else grappling with problems we had already faced and navigated In this period, the number of people following my content increased manyfold. I also started getting many requests to document my learnings in a more structured and detailed form in a book. Zero To Scale is the result of it And it took a good 2 years and many writing sessions on Sunday evenings ( that is the only time I had) to bring it to life In this book, I’ve covered everything that I possibly could to help anyone build and grow their brand in India. Everything I’ve written is what we ourselves followed at Atomberg for growing our fan business, and now following them again to build our new categories like mixer grinders and water purifiers from scratch Grateful to everyone who took the pain to go through the early drafts and share their feedback/praise, some of which are published here The book is about 40000 words long and I have tried my best to strike the right balance between depth and brevity in each topic I genuinely wish to help Indian entrepreneurs and operators grow faster and better. Even the choice of publisher, Wyzr, is reflective of that. I met the founder, Yashraj, my junior from college and was impressed by the work they had already done and their drive to make an impact in an industry that’s in need of some energy Building distribution, generating demand and building a brand isn’t easy. Even if ever so slightly, I hope this book helps you in that journey The book is already available on Amazon, and should be available in leading book stores and a Q-com portal in the next 2 weeks

Bootstrap founders are mastering the art of survival. India has over 120,000 DPIIT-recognized startups But less than 2% have raised institutional capital. The real revolution? Bootstrapped, profitable, and regional-first founders. #Startups

If we sell worth only 14k more between now and tomorrow midnight on Amazon, it would mean we doubled our sale in July compared to June !! 🎊🎉 I think we’ll make it!

So the seller takes home approximately Rs. 255. Now imagine how many products can you buy or make for Rs. 255. Whats important to see is - We have still not considered GST, Packing costs, Mandatory labels, Rent, manpower etc. 😊

Amazon commission is around 12%, with a closing fee if you self ship is Rs. 100. The shipping will cost you an average of Rs. 125 in India. Then comes the marketing cost which ranges above 20%. The returns cost are also added which usually averages around 20%.

This is for all consumers that buy on Amazon. Prices may look very high but only a few sellers make money, that is achieved on volume and a lot of policies that you can negotiate on. Take an example of an item in the Home and Kitchen category that sells for Rs. 1000 below.

For example, let’s say we can sell a product for Rs. 1000. We will have to increase the price to 1200 to cover the RTO costs. This is one of the reasons that everything online is sold on higher prices and there is no scope of reduction.

While buying from Amazon, honest customers have to suffer due to fraud customers. Every online business suffers from fake orders and returns that they consider in their final pricing. Usually around 20%, the RTO will hike the final price of any product.

Reasons why you shouldn’t buy from Amazon 👇🏼 1. A customer “KD sharma” from Kullu, HP bought our bottle on 20th April. We packed the order same day but Amazon scheduled the pick up only for 24th May. The customer patiently waited for 5 days and finally on the day of the pickup.
