Standing Up for Democracy Today, I joined fellow Nigerians, leaders, and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by National Chairman Sen. David Mark to participate in a peaceful "Save Democracy" protest. This event was not just an effort to protect our democracy; it was also a moment of reflection on how far we have fallen as a nation. We must resist the suffocation of our democracy by those who once claimed to have sacrificed to defend it, but are now doing everything possible to undermine it and silence opposition. History will not be kind to those who traded the struggle for democracy for the comfort of power. We will not remain silent, we will not be intimidated, and we will not surrender the future of this nation. The will of the people must prevail—stronger, louder, and impossible to suppress. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Good shout from Sturridge. Said he reckons Gyokeres was offside for that Zubimendi goal because he’s not use to receiving them passes ever at Arsenal

@2ndLookPL Exactly. I root for Gyokeres every game. And I try to not even talk about the issues when I see them to not put extra hate out here. But then you come to twitter and you have a bunch of people saying absolutely crazy things.

I have no intention of discussing about Gyokeres from last nights game. Neither the performance nor the result went through him and that is OK. It’s also a match that didn’t provide a big issue for our buildup to require another profile at CF for us to move forward so I was more than OK with him playing and trying to find spaces to attack and shoot, even though it did not materialize. But these people need to stop with these absurd comments. They undermine the work of the whole team to suit the most absurd agenda imaginable.
Eche@Eche_afc

@pedroelchileno You don't know Football. Without Gyokeres their focus will be on Kai Havertz. They fear Gyokeres especially after his last performance with Sweden

Kai has scored that exact type of goal so many times in his career. Ghosting in behind, timing the run to perfection. Just need to manage him. Clearly not up to speed yet, but I’m adamant that he has a huge part to play in this run in. Start at CF on Saturday, hopefully.

After the goal, some us mentioned Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyökeres when explaining how the goal came to be. Arsenal fans were saying we were trying to force Gyökeres into the conversation. This is KAI HAVERTZ HIMSELF acknowledging Viktor's role in occupying the defender(s) that created the space necessary for the goal. Y'all will just be letting agenda rule your minds. This is the THIRD Arsenal player that has acknowledged how Viktor creates space for others (Rice and Eze are the other two).

"Thanks to Gabi and Viktor!" 😅 Kai watches back his winner 🤳

Yet the new agenda from the Gyokeres camp is that Kai only scores these goals because of him being on the field as 5 out his 7 goals contributions happen when Gyokeres was on the pitch. It’s incredible, never seen a player have such influence just for his presence. Everything positive that happens on the field when he is playing is because of him and everything negative is because the team doesn’t make him the main man.

Since when did #9’s become the reason why a team struggles to create chances? Agenda’s, bias & emotional connection to one’s ego or perception of how they are thought of can make any man spiral out of control. I’m an emotional man, not a robot. But honesty requires objectivity.
