@RichardHanania Markets should allocate capital and people should decide what goes into their community. If a group of people don’t want a data center in their community that’s up to them and the idea that a data center not being put up will destroy the American economy is fucking retarded

@GrandeGato17 @coopernicus01 @xanaxmontanaonx He didn’t like painting one bit. But it put both his kids through college and he was able to afford a home. I would work every summer with him to earn spending money during the school year. He tells me he regrets doing it but idk I look up to him and his grind

@coopernicus01 @GrandeGato17 @xanaxmontanaonx Dad painted all his life. He’s never been so happy to be retired.

Public sector unions are vile. Ban them
Matthew Chayes@chayesmatthew
Striking union LIRR locomotive engineer George Barreto, picketing MTA headquarters Monday, on the job for 28 years. Lives in Philly. Makes ~$200,000/year. He says of work rules requiring 3x day’s pay if asked to drive 3 different trains on a shift… (1/2)

@RichardHanania Poor people should be represented in congress and someone that is poor should absolutely be there. The fuck you on

RESTful APIs may be dead soon. Instead, web services may expose a single POST entry point for a prompt. Internally, an AI agent may decide how to interpret it and what to do with the data and the database.

@kikgamepr We are the only two clippers fans I’ve seen against this
English

Honestly I wouldn’t even trade the pick for Giannis deadass. Kawhi and Giannis both have shown to not be available enough in recent years and we have a chance to get a potential franchise player with UPSIDE.
You can’t mess this up. Do not cater to Kawhi. It’s a new day
Ricky G@jrichardgoodman
The Clippers in a great spot keep Or package pick with a player of quality for a star 👊

@WOLF_Financial I know it’s regressive but we should have a flat tax for everyone no loopholes. Using stock to borrow and not pay taxes should be taxed. With a flat tax everyone pays same proportion of income and if we can’t afford things oh fucking well

JENSEN HUANG WAS ASKED ABOUT A WEALTH TAX THAT COULD COST HIM $8 BILLION
The interviewer expected him to be worried. He wasn't.
His response surprised the room:
"I prefer lower taxes. However, I also don't mind paying taxes. I love this country. We don't exercise that many tax loopholes. Once a year we get a bill, we pay it, and it's big. I never once thought about it. We love this country. That's our way of giving back."
He went on to say he and his wife chose California for the schools and the culture, not for tax arbitrage.
"I would love that they would apply $10,000 of the taxes that I paid to fix that one pothole on the 101. If they let me, I'll do it myself."

Video from the Austrian pavilion at the Venice Biennale:
Artist Florentina Holzinger hangs upside down inside a giant bronze bell. She swings back and forth and literally “rings” the bell with her own body.
This is part of a large-scale installation about the climate apocalypse. The bell with a person inside symbolizes a warning about the coming flood.
The Biennale officially opens on May 9, 2026, but the performance has already begun.

@atrupar Liberals truly live in a bubble, don’t they. These two ignore the fact that the sitting president received over 77 million votes and Obama in 2012 received only 66 million votes. They are not nearly as loved as they think they are.

Basically, the outcome of the war with Iran has been
1) Hormuz remains closed
2) The economy (stock market) is doing fine
I didn't see anyone predicting this. People critical of Trump said Hormuz would stay closed and it would be a disaster. His defenders also assumed he needed to open it.
Is the lesson just that markets are much more resilient than we think, and the AI boom is so powerful we can withstand anything?
English

@BillboardChris Why doesn’t he go after the private companies that are getting these government contracts. They are bribing our politicians with campaign funds. His point about socialists is right but why don’t they just promise to fucking fix the system
English

@Daromirus @ianbremmer @DreamAmerica_ Giving more proportional power to political minorities isn’t representative.
English

@ianbremmer @DreamAmerica_ There's a reason we have the electoral college
It's to make sure large populated states cannot boss around the smaller states
It's a protection mechanism
It would NOT be a more representative system
English

@Daromirus @ianbremmer @DreamAmerica_ You don’t see the contradiction in your statement ? Popular vote would be more representative. The electoral college is DEI for retards lmfao
