@ChoppinBravos No i get it, it’s part of sports, guy with the big contract is going to get his chance to play a lot Drake is on pace to catch around 105 games as is. I’m sure they’d like that number to be closer to 90. We disagree on the best version of the braves, but hope he plays well

They weren’t bringing Murphy back and sitting him on the bench man let alone for dom smith. The way they want Baldwin to play 150+ games Sean Murphy is going to catch a ton and the best version of this team has a good Sean Murphy behind the plate. Their entire off season focus was a fluid DH

He has a .721 Ops bc it jumped 135 points in Coors. It was .581 coming in and if he was to continue playing for the Braves it would rapidly return. There no knock on him he’s done a solid job for the team while they wait on Murphy. it just sucks his game has regressed so hard and he’s only 30 it doesn’t make sense. His defense has even fallen off. The bat made sense bc he really only hit well for a year or so but he had always had good defense and now that’s mostly gone too.

@mathomp_501 It’s for the best to maintain his innings. He like like 60 last year and I think 70 the year before. They can start to stretch him back out maybe in a couple months or so? No way he can maintain a starters load all year.

Interesting the Braves are only using Fuentes an inning at a time… means there are no plans of putting him back in the rotation anytime soon.
