This woman was getting gas at the local gas station. She put her card in and pressed 87 for the $2.85 a gallon gas. After she pumped she noticed she only got 17 gallons and it charged her $78 instead of $48. She went in and said something to the attendant that it charged her too much, he claims that she must have pressed premium 93 by mistake and even printed out the receipt that showed she pumped 93. She’s convinced that she’s being scammed and the pump automatically switched to 93 because either by the attendant or a malfunction in the machine because she knows she pressed the button for 87. When they went out and he demoed it for her, it worked as it should have but he also handed her a $20. So did she really accidentally pressed 93 or did he give her the money because he knows he was caught?

It was a violent encounter that left my client, a Black mother, ripped from her car by the neck in front of her child and covered in bruises to her neck, arms, and body as a result of that force. The department has already tried to clear Officer Brandon Morgan, but the footage and my client’s injuries tell a different story. In a recent segment, WFAA spoke with law enforcement expert Dr. Alex del Carmen, who reviewed the video and stated that this officer’s actions were prohibited by policy and never should have occurred. When internal reviews excuse conduct that violates both policy and basic standards of care, it signals that brutality is acceptable so long as it is carried out in uniform. My client is left with trauma and visible injuries while those responsible are shielded from real consequences. Officer Brandon Morgan deserves to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law for the harm done to this woman and her family. After a six-month long investigation, our Narcotics Unit dismantled a drug trafficking organization operating out of the Grand Park area, leading to the felony arrests of major trafficker 52-year-old Chaun Floyd and 33-year-old twin brothers Jamon and Jaron Wright. In August 2025, detectives identified four houses being used to sell illegal drugs. As the investigation continued, those houses were connected to Floyd and the Wright brothers. Turns out, federal partners were also tracking Floyd, so we teamed up with the DEA and ATF for an even better case. After months of surveillance and investigative work, our detectives made their move. On February 20, 2026, the JSO SWAT Team and DEA SWAT Team hit all four locations at the same time, alongside our Narcotics Unit, District 1 Bike Squad, and Gang Unit. Here’s what detectives seized: -711 grams of Powder Cocaine -654 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine -9.2 grams of Crack Cocaine -More than 10 pounds of Marijuana -9 Firearms, one of which was reported stolen -More than $350K in cash -Two vehicles -Two necklaces valued at $60K During the search warrants, the Wrights’ other brothers — Ronyeah (30), Willie (27), and Ahmed (26) — were arrested on misdemeanor charges. Essentially, the Wright brothers’ criminal family business was grounded. Floyd was a close family friend. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of shots fired in the parking lot of The Avenues Mall on the Southside. As of 6:45 p.m., officers have not located anyone who was struck by gunfire. One vehicle was hit. Multiple individuals at the scene have been detained at this time. There is no threat inside the mall, and people are able to move freely inside. Detectives with our Robbery and Violent Crimes Unit are on scene leading the investigation. Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking parents to come pick up their children if they’re in or around the mall.
