Is this a new procedure? I thought the drinks come first, and to make worst the situation the flight was delayed because overheat in the cabin... however I have to admit the attendant is very polite.

@AmericanAir, right now Im in ft 1221 from Denver to Miami. Seat 4F (AA# 0L94L18). At this moment, the flight has more than 1 hr flying and still the flight attendant can't bring me any drink, even a cup of water because she is serving the food from the front to the back.
