@Supercell_fren They’re only focused on the state of AI now or before. They don’t look at the fact that it’s been constantly improving and transforming. A lot of people don’t want to or can’t predict 8 o’clock at 7:30.

Do anti data center leftists not realize that AI is literally the only tool we have that could possibly create the abundance needed to usher in their star trek communist utopia?

@scaling01 open source models have that “yeah you can use me for fun and then get back to your 200 dollar codex/claude sub” feeling it’s kinda like xiaomi or HUAWEI managers using iPhones back in 2015 Chinese models have a long way to go

I used to think that unlike math, software is stupid because 99% of it is really solving the same problems again and again producing so many solutions that the emergent complexity creates entirely new and novel problems. Well...

I rejected a fresher candidate coz he couldn't answer this question: I asked him: We're building an agent harness which has access to a Linux box where it'll run & execute commands. How'll you make sure the agent doesn't wipe out the system? He just answered: Whitelist only certain commands like git, grep, find, sed, mv, etc. What will you answer in his place to not get rejected?

models grow up so fast :') pan-1 is already reward hacking. here we commanded it with a goal image where it's supposed to be riding a horse but it slips through the fences on foot and then hops up and down to be as high as the horse
Pantograph@pantographPBC

Introducing Pan-1, a highly capable Minecraft model trained with an RL-based pretraining technique that could unlock internet scale video for robotics models. It can achieve diverse goals—fight mobs, build structures, explore—without training on any of them specifically.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei: - SWE could be obsolete in 1 year. - AI could wipe out all white-collar jobs. - AI could create 20% unemployment rate. Within next 5 years, there will be no SWEs, lawyers, consultants, financial professionals. It's already been 1 year since he made this statement. If you have to describe him in only one word, what will it be? BTW Anthropic is almost a $1T company now.

I don't even remember times when I didn't work 16h/day. What life was even like. Bend2 is the most advanced software I've ever built, but it wouldn't be possible without AI. Took me years. In 2027, anyone will be able to replicate it with one prompt. So I should just launch it
