@alt_ccc So Jan 6 didn’t count as insurrection because it didn’t succeed? A thing can happen without being a success. Musk may lose most races, but he attempted to buy power, that’s what matters. He also did it in 2024 + succeeded! Was he not also trying to buy an election then? Come on.

He’s gonna lose like 80% of his races and you’ll still have a bunch of supposedly moderate Dems here talking about how they’re compelled to support wealth taxes or wealth caps because billionaires can buy elections and that’s anti democratic and all that.

Wow I was not expecting this at all. It will be interesting to see where his support goes. You would think most would go to Hong as she is the other progressive candidate, but a lot of conservative Democrats might have been supporting him from his name recognition from 2022.

@alt_ccc Spain's border is effectively managed by both Spain and Morocco. If Morocco decides to stop cooperating, the system can quickly collapse. Spain's entire approach largely assumes Morocco will continue to cooperate, which is why situations like this can spiral so fast.

Morocco has sent thousands of migrants toward Spain in what I see as retaliation for Spain's meeting with Algeria. The Spanish government has failed to deploy the resources and manpower needed to stop the crossings.
The result? The scenes I'm watching on TV right now are astonishing. More than 10,000 migrants have already entered.
