End of Day 25 Still absolutely terrible at sports predictions. Back in the green these last two days — a bit of liquidity coming back after taking profits, so… back to predicting we go. Yesterday I went to see my ex again (so far, so good), and today I’m once again trying my luck on a football match on @Polymarket . This time it’s Real Madrid vs. Manchester City. Not exactly two teams known for their defense, so I took the “both teams to score” market with an order at 64c. Now I’m just hoping my usual bad luck doesn’t ruin the fun. polymarket.com/event/ucl-rma-…

Person of the Year 2025 — TIME I’ve been digging into the market on who TIME will name as its 2025 Person of the Year. Speculation has been raging for weeks, and the emerging consensus on @Polymarket seems to point toward artificial intelligence taking the title. It’s happened before (correct me if I’m wrong): twice TIME picked something other than a single human or a group of humans. In 1982, it was The Computer, and in 1988, Endangered Earth — labeled “Machine of the Year” and “Planet of the Year.” Whether it was just an editorial quirk of the ’80s or a sign of the times, those two editions make the case that AI could be crowned “Tool of the Year” for how deeply it’s reshaping our daily lives. So what about the markets? We’ve got the classic market trading on the identity of the winner… and a few derivative markets, including one that really caught my attention: Will TIME’s 2025 Person of the Year be a human? “Yes” is trading around 50c as I’m writing this. Still here, still alive.
And still broke as hell. Most of my @Polymarket positions are way too long-term and I’m just sitting around waiting for the big 2025 resolution.
But I think I messed up… I went back to my ex.
People always told me never to do it, but here I am again, back in the “Trump makes no Fed announcement in 2025” market.
I don’t even know what I’m hoping for at this point—this market already wrecked me. And deep down we all know how the story ends, no matter how much I pretend it’ll be different this time…
