minecraft chat restrictions due to the online safety act are maybe the most egregious effect of it that i've interacted with. you literally cannot type commands. you cannot do /lobby to leave a multiplayer match because of the law. you can't /gamemode. it's SO unbelievable

I don’t really know how to feel about this. Back in the days there weren‘t real high quality games like RIVALS, Forsaken etc… On the other side Roblox was way safer and actually listened to their community back then.

"roblox protects predators!!" no, they don't. most of the time when someone is accused of predatory behavior the only evidence available are discord screenshots. they have no way of knowing they're legit. they only ban them if they're proven guilty in a court of law🤷

honestly the roblox community gets what they deserve. for the past year everyone was kicking screaming and crying about how roblox is "unsafe" and needs to take child safety more seriously. they do exactly that and now everyone is pissed off and threatening to quit the platform. ...almost like there are second order consequences to that. nobody wanted to speak up when the child safety myth was becoming increasingly popular with the general public because everyone was afraid of being "that guy" defending "le heckin evil pedophile corporation." you made your bed now lie in it
