@richflanagan33 @PCLAthletics @wpial7 I under stand that reasoning. But those championship games are almost rivalry games. Two schools that have history. State title games are rarely that.

I understand wanting to keep this games in the middle of the state to try and make it equidistant for all #PIAABasketball programs…but if you want to see the hunger and thirst for high school 🏀, look no further than the @PCLAthletics semis and title and @wpial7 title games

@RareFootageNews Rare, appreciate your hustle. Genuine question, What is Imhotep considered as a school, private? It’s a Charter school I believe, so designation is simply private by default but not due to tuition and status? Looking forward to some great games in 6A

@BobGreenburg There's a lot of gyms in D5 and D6 that I think are too small to host first round games, but yet they still do.

PIAA requirements to host first round state basketball playoff games:

It was certainly a disappointment for our guys to not have that opportunity on a year we made it to the final. I remember back in 2018 both the semi’s and finals were in the Giant Center. Plenty of other local venues that could’ve hosted that I’m sure weren’t even considered, like the old Hershey Park arena, Farm Show Complex in HBG, LVC, etc.

All the host sites did a great job for our athletes during District Play. However, we really need to make the Giant Center home again. Miss the excitement of double/triple headers. @piaadistrict3
