Ethiopian regime's supporters are still in feverish jubilation, acting as if the U.S. government is about to hand them Eritrea’s Assab port, as though America goes around transferring sovereign territory to other countries. Isn't that so disrespectful to the Eritrean people?

Today, we were honored to have productive and wide-ranging meetings with the Ethiopian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Gedion Timotheos @GHessebon , for the U.S. Ethiopia Bilateral Structured Dialogue. We had constructive conversations about the Nile River and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. We also discussed international efforts to facilitate a humanitarian truce and achieve durable peace in Sudan, as well as our shared commitment to promoting regional stability, including Red Sea maritime security. Today was also an important opportunity for discussions on bilateral economic and commercial issues, including promoting U.S. investments.
