@AmyNielsen06 If it were parents' day, only moms would go. They have to make it Dad's Day to make dads participate. Was just at a school event where the PTSA recruiter got up to present, and she finished with "It's a P for Parents, not an M for Moms, so let's see some dads get involved."

My child's school is having Take Your Dad to School Day. If the child doesn't have a Dad or Dad figure, they are allowed to invite a Mom or Mom figure. Am I wrong to have a problem with this? How about Take Your Parent or Parent Figure To School Day? Am I being too sensitive?

I'm working on a fiction novel where a couple never argue over how to fill the dishwasher or what to watch on TV.

@TaylorTwellman When you play on that stage at that level, you become an idol and an influence to the millions of youth watching you and you must behave as such, or stay home.

Small rant. I buy a book from an author who’s always moaning about lack of sales etc. I do this often. I know how hard it is. Let them know. No response. Is a thank you really asking too much? 😕

@RockyRaeWriter Um, Yeah. My characters suffer from hypervigilance, too. They're really just extensions of us.

Does anyone else check the backseat every time you enter your car? You know, cuz of serial killers, hitmen, and monsters?

@victoriajayneoh I often pause in my own speech pattern. That carries into my character's dialogue if the topic is heavy. "Bobby pauses, looking out the window, as if he'll find the right words are out there."

what are your writing quirks? mine are a worried bottom lip, a furrowed brow, and the word ‘quite’
