The web is disappearing 🕳️
According to a Pew Research Center report, 26% of pages from 2013-2023 are no longer accessible.
But that’s not the whole story.
In a new study published in Internet Archive's book, VANISHING CULTURE, data scientists working with the Wayback Machine have found:
16% have been restored through the Wayback Machine.
56% are preserved before they disappear.
Preservation is the remedy for cultural loss.

🚨 Breaking: World Bank has officially reclassified Pakistan!
Pakistan is no longer in the South Asia region.
From fiscal year 2026, Pakistan has been moved into the new MENAAP group Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan & Pakistan.
The World Bank also opened a new regional hub in Riyadh.
A quiet but big shift in how Pakistan is viewed globally

I didn’t know much about the Pakistani media before today, but it seems there are two camps:
* Those who recite the facts that previously happened in an objective summary
* 99% who seem just eager to praise Pakistan and saying “big announcement coming…” every 20 minutes
The most reliable news out of Pakistan has basically been Al-Jazeera - a sentence I never thought I’d say a decade ago.
We can’t trust Axios or Fox.
WSJ and NYT aren’t giving breaking updates.
The local media has too much government interference apparently.
Tasmin has been more transparent but is government aligned Iranian source so you can’t fully take that at face value.
Truly wild how far the standards globally on journalism have fallen, and I hope it’s something that can be repaired.

Most Pakistani local journalists are not capable of handling international affairs. This is due to poor analytical capacity and no formal training. Their main topic was how PTI is defeated, how Imran Khan is irrelevant, what Imran Khan is thinking in Adiala, and how foreign policy is better now, etc. Imagine this is their mental level in such intense times and important peace negotiations. The only good news is they are still better than Indian media

A growing number of skilled workers are leaving Pakistan, seeking opportunities abroad as their country faces one of Asia’s highest inflation rates and a devalued currency.
But what does this mean for the country’s economic and political prospects? trib.al/iAg7q9G

@miryar_baloch dehumanizing millions of people isnt baloch resistance its just hate and intellectual dishonesty. If your goal is justice for Balochistan maybe start with arguments and facts not calling humans worse than dogs. that is not activism that is just rage posting
English

Dogs are allowed in the Republic of United Balochistan but not the Pakistanis and their sympathizers.
I have begun a thorough cleansing of my X account. One by one, every Pakistani and every supporter of the occupying state is being removed from my following list. There will be no space here for those who stand with oppression against the people of Balochistan.
#NoPakistanNoProblem.
