@alyxSTK @evaboneva_ @VeNoMzShibe the thing that makes sense for reach(for me) is that you dont play as a spartan II, you werent as strong as playing as chief or arby, and that you couldnt sprint/evade/etc in odst since you dont have mjolnir armor

@evaboneva_ @VeNoMzShibe @kidboyplays that was always my complaint about it going back to reach. it made both chip damage and some comms meaningless because relocation is so easy and positioning became noncommittal you should die for making punishable positioning mistakes, sprint lets you not

upon a reread it sounds like you were walling to learn angles? that's not the same as closet cheating, i.e. using your cheated "success" as a way to boost your reputation. what I was saying in the OP applies to closet cheaters above the age of about 15-16. after that point they have probably formed a world view where they think cheated "success" is a viable substitute for legitimate success. there are already exceptions but that is the typical situation.

The normie response to someone cheating is to lambast them nearly to the point of dehumanization. What we're seeing in the aim training community (at least what I saw with shimmy and cute) is the naive reaction, "just because they cheated doesn't mean they're a bad person". This lacks perspective. A competitive community can't exist when cheating is tolerated. Also, if someone cheats, that means their motivations from the beginning were extrinsic, which makes them very likely to attempt a "shortcut" again. That is to say, your friend is not going to stop being a closet cheater just because they act remorseful. They aren't in it for the personal challenge like you. They're in it for the attention.

Valorant is overall more protected game than CS2, in a way of coding. They have memory protection, randomization, fog of war, etc. Plus they have the most advanced kernel level AC. FACEIT on the other side can do a pretty good job at removing cheaters, but for some reason they are not doing their job. FACEIT can block DMA (the most popular way of cheating) cause they have option to force IOMMU. FACEIT AC is not bad, but for some reason it is not fully utilized. VAC? It's useless user mode garbage.

Since eradicating DMA cheats with IOMMU, we've increased efforts to combat 2PC colorbots/AI cheats. More to come this is just the start of a battle we're committed to and there is no escaping from the reality that is happening today.
