Paaji, I am an Indian first. Just like you represented India through cricket, I too always saw Punjab through the spirit of India. Because you called me “didi,” I am replying with that same emotion. I may not understand politics deeply, but we AAP supporters speak from the heart. Parties can be changed overnight…but will you ever be able to truly trust BJP leaders, especially after seeing what happened to protesting farmers? Over 700 farmers lost their lives. Barricades, tear gas, water cannons, bullets - all used against peacefully protesting farmers. The same farmers who feed the nation were branded as agents and insulted for asking justice. Punjab will never forget that pain. You had already earned immense respect long before AAP made you Rajya Sabha MP. Your name, your struggle, your identity - all were built by your own hard work. Honestly, even your Parliament attendance showed that power or political ambition never seemed important to you. Today, ask yourself honestly - ED factor/fear may be common among many of you. But, using you, if other defectors who engineered this switch - some not even from Punjab - get minister posts and political rewards next month, you may be left carrying the tag of “traitor” for life. As a MP from Punjab, you should demand Punjab’s long-pending RDF funds. Those funds belong to the people of Punjab, not to any political party. Politics should remain between parties. Common people should never suffer because of political revenge, by stopping their rightful funds.
