@amanda_auerbach Sothebys are usually pretty helpful but if it’s in a private collection the owners may be the hang up rather than the auction house!

Does anyone know how to go about trying to obtain rights for a work of art if you can't find contact info for an artist's estate? (I want to obtain rights for something from 1957 by Marcel Dyf for academic book cover)

Procrastination is ideological in that in implies waiting to be saved by some yet-to-surface creative force the same way these political theatrics imply that. I'm learning to exit the limbo early without losing any of the rumination and dream time we do there.

The humanities do not help us *become* more humane, but to understand what it would mean to *be* humane. The becoming is not up to the humanities but to us.
